There were so many parties, bands, epic moments, and views to take in throughout this past weekend at Tall Tree Music Festival – and let’s face it so little time. After the necessary recovery period and some deep contemplation we are ready to present our summary of our top ten moments at Tall Tree 2016.
Best surprise of the weekend goes to — THE LASER WALKWAY a.k.a THE EMERALD SEA
We don’t know how it got there, we don’t know how it happened but gawd damn we were absolutely FLOORED at the thousands of lights that illuminated the forest just past the valley stage. Tall Tree magic at it’s finest. (We’d like to think it was the TT elves but in reality shout out to whoever did that!)
ZOO-LAN-D-ERRRR
Holy smokes out on the tongue! Could there be a more perfect theme? Actually?! The Zone Zoolander fashion show will go down in TALL TREE history.
The crowds came out to witness a legendary walk off by some of the festival’s best characters. Mugatu, the full monty, Deeangelo with her fiery lit sparkler ring and mad run-way sass,. A sass so sexy that Jimmy from do250 even proposed marriage via his judges white board. #LEGIT #IMPRESSED
Then there was that turbo babe in the muscle shirt who not only did push ups as her finally but also flossed her fanny with that sweet shirt. These fashionistas left the crowd and the judge panel in a total frenzy!!
THE DOUBLE PROPOSAL
Rods the bomb.com were the exact words coming from peoples mouths following this show. Not only was the sun shinning, the vibes were high, and so was the crowd to see these boys reunite.
A Mindil Beach reunion show, plus a surprise proposal from pozzy Hot damn!

THE POP UP PINEAPPLE PARTY
Talk about being lusciously indulged. Everywhere you looked there were pineapples; someone dressed as a pineapple, drinking out of pineapple or straight up dancing like a pineapple. Just as you’re revelling in the beauty of the pop up tropical paradise someone come’s up to you and ask’s: “What’s your favourite part of the pineapple” to which you reply “ I guess it’s just how juicy and delicious it is.” Quickly proceeding this conversation someone cruises by offering you a perfectly ripe piece of pineapple… On point!
THE TRECK TO MECCA
The Hunt For Benny Raggae. It was uphill both ways and totally worth it.
Shout Out To The Rave CAVE!
Dance Party awards go to JackLNDN & Small Town DJ’S! As always ain’t no party like a rave cave party!
MORNING GLORY
There’s no better way to start your day then to the sweet sounds of Xavier’s tastefully curated set, while spectating the talented Tall Tree tiny tricycle man moving and grooving with his peddle to the metal. See video below.

There is truly nothing more magical than dancing in a cloud surrounded by an explosion of positivity and the one’s you love the most. Hiking to the top of a mountain in the blazing heat, or pouring rain, the trek to Brown’s mountain top is truly a testament to the human spirit. Its a verifiable statement that there are no strangers at Tall Tree there’s only friends you haven’t made yet. BETTY AND KORA FREACKIN’ LOVE YOU TALL TREE.
